Students and then are invited to attend an interview with one of our senior leadership team. Our interview process offers families and students the time to consider the suitability of the subjects chosen. Sometimes students change their minds after application, this can be accommodated through discussions with the Sixth聽Form team throughout the academic year.
Induction Day
During the Summer Term all students who have received an offer from Shireland Sixth聽Form get to meet their new teachers, the Sixth Form Leadership team, as well as current students.
The day consists of a welcome presentation by your Sixth Form Leadership team; a morning of team building activities with your future cohort, opportunities to get to know the current Sixth Formers in the newly refurbished Sixth Form base and expert teacher led taster sessions, where you get to sample and explore what your future pathway could look like.聽
GCSE Results Day
We expect all prospective Shireland Sixth Form students, both current and external, to attend our GCSE Results Day to confirm their place, as well as their choice of subjects. In addition, students will receive their welcome pack, explaining the enrolment process and what鈥檚 to come from September.
